Mapping our Enemies

Today, a day after the commemoration Israeli Independence, Diaspora Jewry finds itself entangled in one the most global, organized and concerted efforts leveled against the project of the Jewish state and against the image of Jewish civility and goodwill. Though not under the threat of Katyushot and the armed death cultism that neighbors Israelis, this multi-front propaganda war has rocked our political sense of order and our own conceptions of how we place ourselves in society. We need to have a sense of order amidst this chaos. We need to map our enemies so that we may understand the path forward. Why? For the same reason one brings a flashlight into a dark cave. We are blind without it.

So let’s attempt to map the intersections of our prosecutors and persecutors unabashedly. We’re going to use the following categories: The Reds, The Whites, The Greens, and the The Blacks. Understand that these are not entirely neat categories, but rather archetypes, and the longer one is part of this map, the more likely they are to bleed into multiple categories. One should be able to easily imagine all the following archetypes encamped together on the grounds of Columbia University.

The Reds - These are the self-professed Anarchists, Communists, Democratic Socialists, and Marxist-Leninists. Aptly described as "tankies" in memetic vernacular, they are religious adherents to orthodox Marxist analysis and obsessed with the relevant aesthetics. Note that they are also knee deep in atrocity denial and justification. The Holodomor, the Great Leap Forward, and the killing fields of Khmer Rouge are denied and justified in order to extoll the virtues of communist industrialization. After all, what’s a good Communist uprising without its preceding massacres? You’ll find them lurking on Twitter, Reddit, university sociology departments, and in Hasan Piker's demented Twitch chat. All they desire is a grand collectivist revolution that will bring about a communist utopia.

In fractious solidarity with tankies, you will find “Postmodernists”. This is just a fancy term for sympathetic Marxists who correctly note that Marx’s grand proletariat revolution failed to materialize. To them, an economic/class appeal to revolutionary action is fruitless if the overarching national culture remains unchanged. You can blame Postmodernists for seeding the divisions in race, gender, sexuality, and any other ‘identitarian’ wedge that can be exploited. Even fatties get their own revolution against the fit. They are the DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) crowd. Moral busybodies and petty tyrants who form committees and task forces to “reveal” the unseen bigotry in the room. They work incredibly hard to avoid actual hard work.

 And a final card carrier of The Reds, are the post-colonialists, acolytes of Chomsky, Butler, and Franz Fanon. These are the adherents of the "America always bad" School of Politics. Painfully predictable, these people embrace every tinhorn dictator and ‘liberation movement’ that aligns itself against the West and the United States. Naturally, barbarism and sadism are acceptable means to overthrow the West for them. This is why revolutionary feminists like Judith Butler look straight at the rape and sexual assault of Israeli women and smile at the process of “decolonization”.

The Whites - Usually wealthy trust-fund kids; these are the bored, nihilistic, and self-aggrandizing children of the upper middle class. Throw in the hippies and pacifists, John Lennon "Imagine"- style utopians. The crushing internal guilt of their own place in society, sheltered and privileged, motivates them to save the world while being entirely detached from reality. Many hold degrees in the liberal arts and humanities from ‘elite’ institutions. Despite their academic pedigree, they are often uninformed and naive on the substance and history of any given issue. They are insecure, easily bullied by peer pressure, and crave the attention and validation of being ‘just’ and on the ‘correct’ side of any given conflict. The NPC meme embodies them well, just don’t ask them to change a tire.

The Greens - The pan-Islamists of the ikwan (Muslim Brotherhood), old-guard pan-Arabists, and clerical antisemites of the Islamic variety.  They can best be understood in contrast to "The Red" muslims. While they embrace the sectarianism and tribalism of identity politics they reject the corollary intersectional progressivism. Their underlying values are censorious, homophobic, misogynist, and are a complete anathema to the liberalism that built western society. Martyrdom is more real to them than any set of made up pronouns or secular philosophy. The Red and Green Muslims may share a common goal, but when left to their own devices they descend into murderous infighting and factionalism.

*take a breather*. What is common to the factions discussed thus far is a disdain and distrust of western democratic liberalism, a pessimistic/apocalyptic vision of the future, and the desire for 'radical' and transformative change to bring about a new utopia. All three are necessary ingredients for authoritarianism, which then attracts a fourth group:

The Blacks- These are the absolute dreck of humanity to borrow from Joseph Conrad. They are the “heart of darkness”- narcissists, sociopaths, and Machiavellians. Entirely self-interested parasites and opportunists, who involve themselves in politics to acquire power, abuse, control, and dominate others. These are the communists who became National Socialists without a second thought. How else would a c-list internet commentator like Jackson Hinkle rocket to fame, if not by exploiting the world’s oldest irrational prejudice and most sophisticated conspiracy theory? Hinkle is the perfect personification of The Blacks. A spousal abusing manlet who will ride any train so long as it keeps him in the spotlight and in control of a narrative.

As you can see, these four colored factions construct a Palestinian flag, and the thread that stitches the flag together is antisemitism, the conspiracy of fools.

Let’s stitch them together, shall we?

The Whites want to be on the right side of history. They root for the underdog, and seek to champion the downtrodden. In its obsessive pursuit they can be easily seduced by rhetoric and propaganda that constructs Jews (or 'Zionists') as the powerful oppressor. When presented with such a frame to Israel-Palestine, they will react with intense negative emotion to Israel, and will reliably reproduce antisemitism to compensate for the artificial guilt they feel. Right now, they’re probably fantasizing over a potential instagram or TikTok post of themselves adorned in a keffiyeh and demanding “intifara”. They’ll probably put on a mask so that they can enter Starbucks without being ID’d.

The Greens are in the thrall of what they believe to be an existential and interminable struggle against the Jews, until the end of days. These are your true philosophical adjacents to Hamas in the West. They are delusional Arab and Islamic supremacists who drive themselves to states of absurd cognitive dissonance just to rationalize how a Jewish State could have come into being in the heart of the Ummah. They’re currently in a constant state of coping because they cannot recognize a simple fact of life and history: fuck around and find out.

The Reds, children of Marx, construct Israel as an outpost of American imperialism, the final remnant of European colonialism, and the most sophisticated expression of racism and apartheid in the world today. All other contemporary forms (the CCP’s internment of Uighur Muslims for example) of bigotry pale in comparison to the evil doings of Zionism according to them. No one is free until everyone is free - of The Jew. Well maybe you can be a Jew in their world, you just have to revile yourself and submit your entire being to the process of sadistic decolonization a-la October 7.

The Blacks, incapable of introspection, jealous and haughty, will jump on the bandwagon to exploit, plunder, and manipulate the politics of the moment for their own personal gain. They want to “give the people what they want”. If the people want MAGA, they'll give them MAGA. If other people want communism, they’ll turn face and sell them the veneer of communism. If antisemitism/anti-zionism is desired, these snake-oil salesman are more than happy to oblige. Watching the wild shifts in Tucker Carlson’s political outlook over his career as a cable newsman is at least fascinating we suppose.

This sordid alliance embraces the aesthetics, and rhetoric of the political left, because it maps onto the vacillating sentiments of a morally confused population. The left hand and right hand are part of the same totalitarian beast. When the leftist revolution creates misery and desperation, do not be shocked by the sudden turn to fascism, or national socialism. It’s already arguably begun. We must be vigilant.
