The progressive evolutions of the white upper class in Canada is scary. I know many of these people, (including some high powered political leaders in Canada's Liberal government). The guilt these people hold extends beyond simple guilt over their country. They feel personal guilt - that they don't belong in the station they are in with the status they have. The argument about the Kamloops graves will not cure such a personal guilt that is so deeply engrained. Factual disputes don't cure the emotional and person issues. These people need an outlet.
Where religion used to provide a mechanism for people to focus their energies, and work on self-improvement, the whites are now directing the internalized conflict out onto the world, and thus now, the Jews.
Things are escalating rapidly in Canada. There needs to be a widespread and complete narrative shift. There are positive signs, but things needs to change quickly. Many of my friends and colleagues are making Aliyah because they see no future here.
